Palletways member Speed Welshpool has won a contract with commercial furniture supplier Tabilo.
Under the contract the Powys-based firm, which specialises in palletised freight and haulage services including the delivery of parcels and irregular freight, will handle a “substantial” volume of pallets each month.
Tabilo operations manager Neil Owen said the company had won the contract because of its “can-do” approach and its access to Palletways IT system, which Owen described a “game changer”.
He added: “Consignments are easy to track, and ETA speeds up our handling of customer queries – which ultimately helps to achieve significant cost savings. Being connected to the network also offers a lot of opportunities for growth thanks to the wide geographical coverage of Palletways in the UK and Europe.”
Speed Welshpool MD George Edwards said the deal was “testament to the hard work our team carries out on a daily basis. We believe this new partnership fits in well with our vision to be the natural choice and leading carrier in the area.”
