Road Haulage Association national chairman Peter Barber has announced that the association's chief executive, Geoff Dunning, is to retire at the end of August.
Dunning, who joined the RHA in 1987 as manager of the north eastern district, has been chief executive for five years.
Revealing the move at the RHA's annual lunch today (15 May), Barber thanked Dunning for his "sterling work" as chief executive, adding that he was unable to announce Dunning's replacement yet for administrative reasons.
"But rest assured, I know that he is ready, eager and determined to further strengthen the RHA, its representation of the industry and its involvement with members,” added Barber.
