Routing and scheduling specialists Optimize has appointed 8 out of 10 Cats co-host and maths wiz Rachel Riley (pictured) to be its brand ambassador.
Riley, also known for her role on Countdown, is an Oxford university graduate of applied mathematics and Optimize said she understood the crucial role algorithms play in enabling organisations to be more efficient and to decarbonise.

The company, formerly known as The Algorithm People, is in the process of re-branding and it said it had “a new, more powerful algorithm ready for launch”.
Riley said: “Optimize has the technology and software in place to deliver a significant impact for fleet operators, supporting operational efficiency and the journey to a zero-carbon society.
“I’m looking forward to working with the team and playing my part in improving the efficiency of the fleet sector.”
