Nominations for the fourth Microlise Driver of the Year competition have opened.
Winners of the competition will be revealed at a gala dinner at the Microlise Transport Conference next year.
The competition uses Microlise telematics data to analyse drivers' skills, but the business is also seeking nominations for awards not based on this analysis.
These include the Young Driver of the Year, Most Improved, Lifetime Achievement, HGV Hero and Extra Mile awards.
The competition also crowns a short, medium and long distance driver.
Microlise executive director Bob Harbey said:“The awards aim is to recognise the professionalism of drivers, and the tremendous contribution they make to the industry and society.
“With data from hundreds of thousands of anonymous drivers’ performances reviewed, and with more nominations than ever last year, we are pleased to see the awards continue to grow in scale.
"Our main awards are based on telematics data but we will continue to complement these with nomination-based categories so that we can fully recognise the extraordinary professionalism and dedication of the men and women that spend many hours on the increasingly busy and frustrating road network."
Nominations should be made through the Microlise Transport Conference website before 16 February 2018.
