Yodel has appointed Nick Porter as its new sales and marketing director.
Porter joins the parcels firm from rival City Link’s parent Rentokil Initial, where he was group sales director.
Porter has also worked in senior commercial roles at TNT Express and Iron Mountain, as well as being a non-executive director and trustee of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Dick Stead, Yodel’s executive chairman, said: “Nick brings a wealth of experience in sales and marketing and the carrier industry. We’re delighted to have him on board.”
Porter added that Yodel presented some exciting challenges and that he is “looking forward to working with the team to grow the company and take the brand into the future”.
In June last year, new chief executive Neil Lloyd talked to Motor Transport about his plans to shift Yodel’s focus away from simply looking at delivery targets.
