Christmas has come early for XPO Logistics, which has extended its contract with toy retailer The Entertainer for a further 10 years.
The extension comes after The Entertainer moved to a new 230,000ft² national DC in Banbury, Northampton, in the summer, having outgrown its previous Swindon site.
XPO, whose relationship with the retailer dates back five years, was responsible for the planning and execution of the move.
Under the extended contract the haulier is responsible for storing, picking and distributing products that have arrived into the Banbury DC, which can house 32,000 pallets – more than double than the previous Swindon site.
XPO will deliver more than 65,000 pallets to The Entertainer stores across the UK every year.
Richard Cawston, XPO Logistics MD Supply Chain for the UK and Ireland said: “We are committed to supporting The Entertainer’s ambitious expansion plans with a flexible logistics solution that can adapt to this important customer’s evolving needs going forward.”
