Woody’s Express has called on Asset Alliance for a fleet refresh after being impressed by the quality of its service since 2018.
Its latest three-year contract hire deal, arranged by business development manager Dougie Bennett, comprises four MAN TGX 26.510 6x2 tractor units with a mix of GX and GM cabs, and an 18-tonne Iveco Eurocargo curtainsider with cantilever tail lift built by Truckcraft Bodies.
An additional order for six new Dennison trailers will be delivered in the coming weeks.
“Asset Alliance Group were once again able to supply us with the exact spec vehicles we wanted," explained Woody’s Express owner, David ‘Woody’ Wood. "We’ve worked with Dougie Bennett on several deals now and he always goes above and beyond to make sure we have what we need. We get a truly personalised service that is better than anything else we’ve experienced.
“Nothing is ever too much trouble, and the team are always on hand for whatever we need.”
The new assets, liveried in the firm’s white, orange and blue branding, will be in operation six days every week as part of a trunking service that involves daily runs between three sites in Stornoway, Inverness and Glasgow, as well as nationwide pallet deliveries.
“Having access to a first-class network and being sure that our vehicles are always on the road is important to us, and Asset Alliance Group guarantees us that and gives us confidence that we are always in safe hands,” Wood added.
All vehicles have been supplied on a full-service contract hire basis, which includes all safety inspections, maintenance, servicing and repairs, tyre cover, and full roadside assistance covered by a single monthly payment.
Established in 1986, Woody’s Express is a haulage specialist operating across Scotland, the Highlands, and Islands. The business also offers nationwide and international delivery services through a network of subcontractors.
