Wincanton has toasted its 18-year relationship with wine and spirits producer Pernod Ricard UK by signing a six-year contract extension.
The renewed contract, awarded to Wincanton after a tender process, will see the operator continue to provide warehousing and logistics for Pernod Ricard and make deliveries to its UK customers.
Wincanton last renewed the deal in 2013, when it added the handling of seven million cases a year out of a bonded warehouse in Corby to the existing deal.
The businesses will have worked together for 24 years by the end of the new contract period.
MD, retail and consumer, at Wincanton Liam McElroy said: “We are delighted to be continuing our long-standing relationship with Pernod Ricard.
“Having worked with the company for a significant period of time now, we were keen to demonstrate how we could add further value for Pernod Ricard UK.
"We look forward to being able to realise our ambition to become leaders in the digitised supply chain and deliver significant short and long-term benefits to our customers.”
Pernod Ricard UK operations director Michael Taylor added: "After a long tender process, we are pleased our long-term partner Wincanton offered us the best solution for professional, cost-effective and innovative warehousing and logistic services, which is something we continually evaluate to ensure efficiency for us and our customers."
