Wincanton has named Adrian Colman as the successor to finance director Jon Kempster, as the logistics giant continues its march back to profit.
Colman was finance director at technology company Psion through to its acquisition by Motorola Solutions in October.
He has also worked as chief financial officer of London City Airport and financial controller at defence technology company QinetiQ.
Eric Born, chief executive of Wincanton, said: “I am delighted to welcome Adrian to Wincanton. He brings hands on commercial experience and will be a valuable addition to our senior team as we look to grow market share whilst focusing on further operational improvement.”
Wincanton announced finance director Jon Kempster, who joined the company in July 2010 from steel products company Delta, would be leaving to pursue other interests last month.
