Wincanton has expanded its distribution contract with Japanese consumer goods manufacturer Kao to include the self-tan brand Bondi Sands.

The arrangement means Wincanton will provide B2B and B2C picking, packing and fulfilment services for the Australian suncare and skincare product from its shared user facility in Northampton.

Kao Corporation acquired Bondi Sands in 2023. Wincanton will continue to work in partnership with Kao to help it strengthen its position in the UK beauty market.

Carl Moore, MD of eFulfilment at Wincanton, said: “Our long-standing partnership with Kao is based on our agility and ability to react to the demands of consumers. As its brand portfolio grows and diversifies, Kao will continue to benefit from the depth and quality of our multichannel offering.

“We are looking forward to incorporating Bondi Sands products into our operations and creating memorable experiences for consumers for many years to come.”

Guido Kirchhoff, President Global Operations at Kao, said:

“At Kao we value long standing and trusted relationships with our business partners and suppliers. Over the past sixteen years, Wincanton has been a vital support for our UK business, and we look forward to continuing our partnership based on our expanded portfolio.”

The arrangement sees Wincanton fulfil a range of services for the Australian suncare product.
