Swedish technology startup Volta has appointed a new chief executive to replace the current CEO and founder Carl-Magnus Norden.
Rob Fowler (pictured), currently general manager of CSR and technical planning at DPD Group UK, will start in the post from 10 February 2020.
He will lead the development of Volta’s first prototype electric truck, to be manufactured in Banbury and unveiled in the early summer of next year.
Volta said Norden will remain active in the company and on its board and will be responsible for long-term strategy.

The company has also announced a new chief financial officer, James McGoldrick, and a chief communications officer, Max Ahlborn.
Norden said: “Our work has already gained a lot of traction from the industry, decision makers and the public alike, further proving that there is a real need for our trucks to hit the roads as soon as possible.”
