Bradford-based Advanced Supply Chain has continued to grow turnover, revealing a revenue boost of nearly 15% to £31.7m for the year ended 30 June 2013 (2012: £27.6m).

The Bradford-based logistics firm, which is registered at Company's House as Advanced Processing but trades as Advanced Supply Chain, said substantial investment in new technology had resulted in improved efficiencies and reporting systems.

This it added had greatly helped with customer retention and winning new contracts. The operator has also concentrated on tighter cost control and streamlining its operations.

Pre-tax profit for the year rose by 15%to £1.3m (2012: £1.1m) as a consequence, despite a "challenging market" during the recession.

The operator said its continued focus on improving efficiencies for customers should lead to improved margin in the next 12 months. The company's pre-tax profit margin for 2013 was 4.19%.

In 2012, the garment processing specialist sets itself an ambitious target to reach a turnover of £100m by 2016, and also featured in the Motor Transport Top 100 for the first time.

The Yorkshire firm runs operating centres in Halifax, Manchester, Newhaven and Rugby, as well as its national DC and HQ in Bradford.

Major customers include Go Outdoors, Matalan and DFS.
