Turners (Soham) has underlined its allegiance to the DAF brand by putting its 800th DAF FTP 6x2 mid-lift tractor onto the roads.
The East Anglian haulier, which specialises in temperature controlled deliveries, tanker operations, storage, warehousing and container distribution, is the world’s largest operator of DAF Trucks’ FTP 6x2 mid-lift tractor units.
This latest addition, delivered by Cambridgeshire and Suffolk-based DAF Dealer Chassis Cab last month, has joined Turners’ 1,800 plus strong fleet.
Tim King, Turners’ group fleet engineer, said: “The 450bhp FTP tractor is a top-performer, probably the best lightweight truck ever.
“They are the optimal truck for weight sensitive work and we are proud to be one of the top buyers worldwide.”

Scott Cocks, DAF Trucks regional sales manager, said this latest delivery marked rapid growth at Turners.
“It was less than 11 months ago that Turners took delivery of their 700th FTP which means they are well on their way to the 1,000 mark,” he said.
