London’s Direct Vision Standard (DVS) and the wider issue of truck safety is to be a hot topic at next week’s Road Transport Expo (RTX).

A panel discussion looking at the way operators are adapting to ever-tightening truck safety rules will take place on the RTX Knowledge Zone on Wednesday 28 June.

It forms part of a morning of Transport Compliance Briefings, brought to you by Logistics UK, at the popular three-day tradeshow.

Logistics UK head of cities & infrastructure Jonathan Walker will be joined on stage by leading operators Jacqueline O’Donovan, MD at O’Donovan Waste Disposal, Steve James, senior transport manager at FM Conway, and Paul Murray, business unit director at XPO Logistics.

The session will be chaired by MT editor Steve Hobson and will explore the challenges faced and the solutions found for keeping fleets safe and compliant.

Drop-in conference sessions will run across all three days of RTX on a wide range of industry topics, from decarbonisation through to training and risk management.

RTX is a free-to-attend business tradeshow, with an ‘all about the truck’ focus, taking place from 28-30 June at NAEC Stoneleigh.

Alongside the drop-in conference, it features more than 200 exhibitors and a Ride & Drive experience for visitors to try out the latest models (as a driver if qualified, or as a passenger).
