Building merchant group Travis Perkins will be taking part in next week’s Freight in the City Expo to demonstrate its commitment to managing work related road risk (WRRR).
Travis Perkins, itself a Fors gold member and Clocs champion, has this year introduced four new Mercedes-Benz Econics to its urban operations to give its drivers improved visibility in congested areas.
The new Econics work across the group’s Travis Perkins, CCF and Keyline divisions in London delivering a range of building supplies to customer sites and stores.
Graham Bellman, group fleet director at Travis Perkins, said the Econics will offer “unrivalled standards” of protection to vulnerable road users in the capital.
He added: “The construction industry is leading the way when it comes to the management of work-related road risks through Clocs, and we expect to see both this programme and Fors grow outside of London over the next few years.
“We recognise the huge value of demonstrating our safety credentials to major contractors who equally want to adhere to the highest standards possible within London and increasingly across the UK.”
