Minister for transport Andrew Jones will speak at this year’s Microlise Transport Conference in May, along with a host of key industry players.
The minister, who will have held the position for a year come May, said that he looked forward to “briefing transport operators, manufacturers and stakeholders on what has been achieved and [his] plans”.
The event at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry will be hosted by Quentin Willson.
Nadeem Raza, Microlise chief executive, said: “We knew that with the growing scale of the conference it would be vital to have a representative from Westminster at this year’s event. We recognise the progress Mr Jones and his colleagues are making – for example approving the new Trailblazer apprenticeship and supporting the DVSA’s next generation compliance plans.
“We look forward to hearing from Mr Jones as he marks one year in the job at the Microlise Transport Conference.”
