DHL Tradeteam has revealed details of its three year contract with soft drink bottler and supplier Coca-Cola Hellenic, its first direct relationship with a soft drinks supplier.

The contract, which began in October when CCH transferred its distribution to DHL, will see the operator handle 1,600 deliveries of brands such as Coca-Cola, Fanta and Sprite to bulk and direct store customers a week across Northern Ireland.

The contract is operated out of CCH’s Knockmore Hill bottling plant in Lisburn and Tradeteam’s shared user facility in Culcavey. Some of the former own-account operator’s drivers have been taken on by DHL under the new operation, which was phased in last year.

Tradeteam MD Gavin Murdoch said: “We’re delighted to be working with Coca-Cola Hellenic and to have the opportunity to demonstrate to the industry that DHL Tradeteam is just as well positioned to meet the needs of a soft drinks manufacturer as it is for brewers, Pubco’s, wines  and spirits wholesalers and brand owners.”
