Environmental services firm Tradebe Healthcare has taken delivery of its first-ever electric vehicle, supplied by Fraikin on a five-year, full-service contract hire agreement.
The 3.5-tonne van is based at Tradebe’s Rochester depot and replaces an older diesel model, collecting medical waste from London ambulance stations.
Mark Grant, supply chain manager at Tradebe Healthcare, said: “Working in London, it ensures we will remain ULEZ compliant, while also helping us meet our sustainability goals as a business – we’re looking at a saving of around 14 tonnes of carbon per year.”
Fraikin also provided EV infrastructure support, assisted with the installation of a charging point and the contract hire agreement includes servicing, repairs, safety inspections, MOT testing, tyre management and 24/7 roadside assistance.
