TNT UK has clinched a major three year deal with the Home Office for the secure delivery of passports and related documents, motortransport.co.uk can reveal.
The logistics operator will take over the contract from incumbent DX Group in January, following a competitive tender, which saw DX Group knocked out of the running in May this year.
At the time DX Group expressed its disappointment and said it had bid on “commercially realistic terms”.

The deal will come as a boost to TNT UK, which is still recovering from a cyber attack in 2017. Along with the sale of its Business Solution division last year, this reduced revenue by 8.4% according to its latest annual results to 31 May 2018.
A Home Office spokeswoman told motortransport.co.uk: “A three year contract has been awarded to TNT UK for the secure delivery of passports and supporting documents after a rigorous, fair and open competition.
“TNT UK have a strong track record as a trusted delivery provider and we look forward to working with them.”
