Suttons Group is spending more than £17m upgrading 200 units on its fleet to provide capacity for the recent growth in its UK bulk tanker business.
In May last year, Suttons decided to exit its long-term logistics contract with British Sugar and focus on the hazardous chemicals, gases and fuels sectors.
In September 2016, it won a deal with bioethanol producer Vivergo Fuels. Suttons Group chief executive John Sutton said: “This deal continues Suttons’ commitment to investing in the latest equipment and technology.”
The Widnes-based haulier has agreed a deal with Volvo and MAN, with the Swedish manufacturer receiving the biggest proportion of orders in the first year.
