Lancing-based logistics company South Link has recruited Marc Ansell (pictured) to the role of business development manager (BDM).
He joins the team with a wealth of experience in logistics and a vast amount of local knowledge, the company said, having covered the Sussex area for a number of years.
Ansell began his career in logistics at the age of 18 and has since held various roles in the sector. He has been working as a transport industry BDM for the last five years.
A shareholder member of both the Pall-Ex and Fortec networks, South Link is targeting further business growth in the run-up to the festive period.
Ansell is tasked with bringing on new, quality customers as well as building strong relationships with existing clients.
“I am really excited to help South Link grow and continue to deliver quality palletised freight solutions for our customers throughout Sussex," he said. “I know the area well, having covered the region in various roles in the past, so I feel I am prepared for this new challenge.
“I love finding solutions for customers and being able to help clients when they are in need, offering them a platform for growth in their sector and a solid base which they can rely on.”
South Link is owned by Karl Reidy, who founded the business in 1991.
“We are really looking forward to seeing what Marc can achieve with us, as his track record is really strong and I know he is a proven BDM," he said. “His understanding of how the industry works, having held so many roles within it, means he really can help customers and provide solutions to suit their needs, no matter how unique."
