Scania will showcase a range of vehicles powered by alternative fuels and cabs suited to inner city applications at Freight in the City Expo tomorrow (6 November).
On its stands will be the L-series, Scania’s newly developed cab series for urban transport that features a high level of visibility from its cab and the maximum five-stars under London's interim Direct Vision Standard.
Visitors will also be able to get up close to a G340 4x2 CNG tractor unit. Scania’s dedicated gas powered vehicles offer a here and now solution to sustainable urban transport and a carbon dioxide reduction of up to 15% with natural gas and 84% with bio-gas, according to the manufacturer.
Outside the exhibition hall will be a Scania P220 4x2 curtainsider body and R410 4x2 sleeper cab LNG. According to Scania, the P-series is one of the most versatile cabs in its range, and is ideal for urban and regional operations and well-proven for construction demands.
