Royal Mail is to extend its click and collect offering to all of its SME contract customers, giving them the opportunity to offer consumers the ability to collect parcels from a Post Office branch.
The service, called Local Collect, will be available for SME customers who offer delivery using its ‘Royal Mail Tracked’ and ‘Special Delivery’ products.
Its click and collect network was launched last year in partnership with over 10,500 Post Offices branches.
Royal Mail Parcels MD Nick Landon said: “By teaming up with Post Office to offer the UK’s largest click and collect service, Royal Mail is enabling shoppers to have greater control over the delivery of their items.”
First quarter parcel volumes were up 1%, the firm recently revealed, but parcel revenue fell 1%.
