19) Guy Buswell, CEO, UK Mail Group
UK Mail is continuing to reap the benefits of the growing e-commerce sector, last month posting a 25% year-on-year increase in daily parcel volumes. At the head of this parcel delivering machine is Guy Buswell, who has helped transform it from a predominantly business mail carrier to its current position as a major player in B2C parcel deliveries.
Joining the company in 1989, Buswell has worked his way through various directorships, in roles such as sales director, managing director and his current CEO role, which he has held since 2005.
2014 looks set to be a big year for UK Mail as it anticipates work on a new hub to begin. With a £20m investment in new sorting equipment, it is showing more commitment in becoming a force to be reckoned with in the sector.
