Potter Logistics has won a storage contract with pet food supplier Wagg Foods.
The deal will see Potter Logistics dealing with 450 pallets a week of supermarket branded pet food, delivered from Wagg’s factory in Dalton to its DC in Ripon ahead of onwards delivery to Tesco.
The operator’s Ripon DC has been fitted with an electronic data interchange link for connecting directly to Tesco’s own resourcing planning system giving the supermarket chain pre-advice of the load that has been despatched.
Wagg manufacturers its own range of dry pet food, as well as producing own branded products for supermarkets.
In July, Potter Logistics entered into a partnership with hazardous waste management company Chloros Environmental.
