Petit Forestier UK is set to open a flagship depot and vehicle maintenance unit in Dartford, Kent.
The refrigeration vehicle rental specialist, which hires vans, trucks, trailers, and cold storage containers, will open the 8,000sq m site next to the Queen Elizabeth II crossing over the River Thames.
This is the company’s fourth depot serving London and the south east of England. The other sites are at Uxbridge, Letchworth and Southampton.
The new facility will offer four HGV workshop bays, roller-brake testing and training facilities. It will also feature solar panels on its roof supplying power via a battery wall, and a waste fluid filtration system to ensure no harmful waste enters the local drainage network.
Andrew Morley, head of commercial, said: “We are continuing to invest in industry leading facilities to ensure that their customers receive the very best of operational service, compliance and rental support.”
The Dartford depot will officially open on 23 February, with local customers invited to an open day, to view the new premises and inspect some of the latest alternatively fuelled vehicles.
Manufacturers exhibiting on the day include Carrier Refrigeration, Volta Trucks, Tevva, Renault and Iveco. Visitors will also be able to see a selection of Petit Forestier rental vehicles and cold storage solutions.
Morley added: “We will also be holding a GoGreen event, involving several industry experts speaking about the latest alternative fuel and environmental innovations available to temperature controlled vehicle operators.”
