Fortnum & Mason has become the first retailer to sign up to Parcelforce Worldwide’s recently-launched Sunday delivery service.

The deal will see Parcelforce deliver products after 9am on Sundays, provided they are ordered by 2pm the day before.

The company is rolling out a nationwide seven day delivery service later this month, with the first Sunday deliveries being made on 29 June.

Fortnum & Mason CEO Ewan Venters said the firm has seen a “huge appetite” for weekend deliveries and sends 500 parcels out every Saturday.

Parcelforce MD Gary Simpson said: “Parcelforce Worldwide has introduced Sunday deliveries to enable online retailers to provide their shoppers with improved flexibility and choice over the delivery of their items.

“We are pleased to announce Fortnum & Mason is the first retailer to offer the service to its customers, providing them with greater control over the delivery of items they have ordered.”
