Palletline is backing the FairFuelUK (FFUK) campaign by sponsoring the IT infrastructure that enables FFUK to communicate with its hundreds of thousands of supporters.
Kevin Buchanan, MD of Palletline, says: “We’re proud to be part of this admirable movement and the important work it is doing to force the fuel price agenda to centre stage.
“Palletline has always looked out for the interests of its members and the transport industry as a whole. We believe that lower fuel duty will stimulate the UK economy and support the thousands of businesses and consumers which depend on cost-effective delivery of their goods.”
National spokesman for FFUK, Quentin Willson, adds: “I applaud the news that Palletline is now actively supporting our vital campaign. Palletline is a key player in the UK road freight industry. The awareness of rising fuel costs by such a significant brand is very important.”
Buchanan tells MT that the pallet network isn’t only offering financial support to FFUK, but also management support. “We want to work together with FFUK to get the message out. Aside from the government over-taxing us, the next biggest problem we have in our industry is apathy. The only thing politicians listen to is weight of voice, so we need everyone in the road transport industry to give their voice to the campaign. Get behind FFUK and stop the apathy!”
