Pall-Ex has appointed Chris Bowden as group sales and marketing director, following a series of new member appointments in the wake of the closure of UK Pallets.
A former DX Group board member, Bowden (pictured) has more than 24 years of industry experience, which Pall-Ex believes he will employ to build lasting relationships with current and future members of the pallet network. Pall-Ex said he has a “proven track record” of building key relationships across the world.
Pall-Ex group MD Kevin Buchanan said: “We have seen dozens of hauliers approaching us as the network of choice this year, since UK Pallets announced its closure. With Chris having worked with the likes of HP, Rolls Royce, Asos and John Lewis, he’s an excellent fit to drive Pall-Ex’s high standards of service forward while continuing to attract the best new members and customers to our growing network.”
Bowden said: “Joining a company like Pall-Ex, which has an expectation of excellent customer service as standard, is exciting but also a real challenge. Maintaining consistently high levels of care and delivery will be demanding, but I share the Pall-Ex ethos that customers and members should be at the heart of everything we do."
The appointment sees Jean-Paul Benizri, who was recruited as marketing director in 2013, move to a different role with the group.
Buchanan said: “Jean-Paul Benizri remains in a key position at Pall-Ex, where he will primarily be exploring opportunities for the network overseas on a consultancy basis.
“With his extensive experience of international markets, Jean-Paul’s focus will be upon Pall-Ex’s European activities in line with the company’s European expansion and business development plans.”
