Yusen Logistics has opened its new European headquarters in Antwerp and relocated its business into close proximity with several of its sister companies within the NYK Group.
It said the move from Schiphol in Amsterdam reinforced its long-term commitment to the European market and provided it with a base inside one of the continent’s most important logistics corridors.
NYK Group companies including NYK Bulkship (Atlantic) NV, and International Car Operators N.V. (ICO) are already well-established in the Port of Antwerp.
Yusen Logistics said closer connections with these affiliated businesses would enable more seamless service offerings to customers and capitalise on the Belgian city’s robust logistics infrastructure.
Minoru Futonaka, Yusen Logistics Europe MD, said: “The new headquarters will play an important role in the future development of our European organisation.
“It creates an environment where our teams can collaborate more closely, share expertise and continue building a strong and connected operation that is ready for the future.”
