Wincanton has landed a five year contract extension to 2030 with furniture retailer Loaf, marking a partnership which first began in 2014.
As part of the extended contract, Wincanton will fulfil both e-fulfilment and two-person home delivery orders across the UK.
Wincanton will continue to provide premium home delivery of sofas, armchairs, mattresses, and tables direct to Loaf customers’ homes.
The company’s premium home delivery will continue to be carbon neutral, which Wincanton said is made possible through a combination of enhanced vehicle technology, electrification, and carbon offsetting.
Wincanton will also continue to provide warehouse services from its 155,000 sq ft e-fulfilment centre in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, which is home to services including order fulfilment, which sees the pick, pack and dispatch of homeware, including accessories, lighting and soft furnishings.
Wincanton has a long history with Loaf. In 2014 the company won its first deal with the furniture retailer to provide nationwide storage and distribution services and furniture deliveries to Loaf customers across the UK, using the 3PL’s two-man “white glove” operation.
Carl Moore, Wincanton managing director of e-fulfilment, commented: “Extending our decade long partnership with Loaf is a landmark moment for Wincanton built on foundations of agility, operational excellence and support for long-term strategic execution.
“We look forward to continuing to delight Loaf customers throughout the UK with exceptional delivery standards and a market-leading experience.”
Sam Perkins, Loaf chief executive, said: “Wincanton has been a long-standing partner of Loaf, and we are excited to have their support in delivering our growth plans.”
