Wincanton has opened applications for its 2024 W2 Labs programme, which aims to discover emerging ideas and tackle the industry’s toughest challenges.
Launched in 2017, W2 Labs has worked in collaboration with 26 early-stage businesses that have included technologies such as wearable solutions to help workers reduce musculoskeletal injuries; autonomous robots; global asset intelligence and online recruitment assessment tools.
Run in collaboration with corporate innovation partner L Marks, this year’s programme will invite technologies and solutions focusing on digital transport, robotics and security and resilience.
Businesses will be selected to join the logistics giant’s lab and receive mentorship from subject matter experts and senior management.
Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to trial their solution in a live environment.
James Wroath, Wincanton CEO, said: “This year’s W2 Labs categories embody Wincanton’s focus on delivering efficiency, sustainability and security for our customers.
“Through W2 Labs, Wincanton is proud to create opportunities to collaborate with global talent to help us deliver on our promises to our customers, our colleagues - and to drive emerging technology and innovative thinking for our industry.”
