Motorway service area operator Welcome Break is bringing some added spice to its South Mimms site on the M25 after opening a Taco Bell outlet this week.

This is the first time the Mexican-inspired restaurant brand has opened a branch at a UK motorway service area and to celebrate its first week in service Welcome Break will be hosting a launch event this Friday (23 February).

Customers will be able to experience live music from local band The Hits, grab one of the 100 free goodie bags available with Welcome Break and Taco Bell merchandise inside, as well as pick up some free tacos to celebrate.

The offer of free tacos sees 50 free standard taco Bell tacos available, at one taco per person, between 11am and 1pm.

Taco Bell is open to Welcome Break customers stopping at South Mimms on junction 23 of the M25 between 11am – 10pm seven days a week, for dine in and takeaway orders

The fast food brand has been serving tacos, burritos, nachos, and quesadillas to customers since November 2010, and Welcome Break is now home to the very first Taco Bell at a UK motorway service area.

Adrian Grimes, Welcome Break commercial director, said “We’re delighted to share that we’ll be opening a Taco Bell in our Welcome Break South Mimms service area this month. Taco Bell adds a Mexican-inspired cuisine to our current dining offering in South Mimms and will give our many customers a new quick and tasty option while they take a break before continuing their journey.”
