Hamilton-based Yuill & Dodds saw increases in turnover and profits last year, despite battling pressure on margins.
The Scottish haulier, which specialises in bulk movements for the waste industry, as well as tipping and general haulage, reported revenue of £21.4m in the year ending 30 November 2025, an 11.9% increase from the previous year (£19.1m).
Pre-tax profit increased by 7.8% to £272,000 and operating profit was almost £800,000 compared to £652,000 in 2024.
“In the opinion of the directors, the company has had an improved trading period, albeit with pressure on margins and difficult market conditions that have affected everyone operating in this industry,” the haulier said.
“Turnover for the year ended November 2026 is likely to remain consistent and the board continues to apply tight control of margins generated, monitor overheads, and secure further long-term contracts.”
Yuill & Dodds added: “The market remains competitive. However, the directors are confident that the high level of service given to customers and the company’s reputation will ensure that it will remain a strong contender in this industry.”
The company holds an international licence authorising a total of 112 HGVs split between two operating centres in Hamilton.
