Lorry crane distributor Palfinger UK is officially opening a London depot today (14 May) in a move marking a major milestone in its expansion in the UK.

The new 13,090 sq ft facility, which is near the Dartford Crossing and Junction 1A of the M25, features eight fully equipped workshop bays, an overhead crane, and crane testing infrastructure, designed to handle breakdowns, servicing, repairs, and inspections.

The site also includes meeting rooms, office space, customer parking, and transport links to all four London airports and major Southeast seaports - with each less than an hour away.

Today’s private launch event is being attended by the Palfinger UK leadership team, VIP customers, and Gerhard Sturm, Palfinger senior vice president of global sales and service, as well as other representatives from the Austrian Palfinger headquarters.

The event will offer guests a behind-the-scenes look at the service centre and an opportunity to meet key stakeholders.

Tomorrow (15 May) Palfinger UK will host a customer open day, inviting visitors to explore the depot, view completed builds, and engage with in-house specialists.

The event will showcase the company’s full spectrum of services - from crane sales and parts supply to 24/7 nationwide service coverage and ALLMI-certified training courses in safe crane operation.
