Swaffham-based GE-BE Transport has been awarded a large-scale account for a further two years with Norfolk heating product company Big K Products.
Palletways member GE-BE Transport is responsible for the company’s palletised collections and deliveries across East Anglia.
It said its contract renewal, following a competitive tender, was due to its “excellent customer service and efficient operations”.
The firm moves around 12,500 pallets each year of charcoal, wood, and BBQ cooking essentials, supplying restaurants, kebab houses and retailers.
In a joint statement, Martin Zuill, Big K logistics manager and Dawn Daniels, Big K sales office manager, said: “When we were looking for a new logistics provider, we wanted a partner that shared our values of trust, quality and family.
“We wanted a company to represent us as our external face to customers. There was an immediate connection between the two companies, as we are both Norfolk based family-run businesses who take pride in quality and service delivery.
“We awarded the account to Ge-Be Transport again based on quality, service, price, experience, our shared values and drive for continual improvement.
“We’ve been impressed with the team’s outstanding service levels; we’re confident they’ll continue to deliver our customers’ goods on time and with care all year round.”
James Langan, Ge-Be Transport director, added: “A combination of our first-class service and Palletways’ industry-leading IT systems were integral in us securing – and subsequently growing – this account.
“Big K is one of our most valued customers and I’m sure the quality and efficiency of our whole team will contribute to their ongoing success.”
