Meachers Global Logistics has secured a ten-year contract renewal with cruise company Carnival UK to support P&O Cruises, extending a partnership of more than 25 years.
The renewed contract with Carnival UK will see Meachers continue to provide warehousing, freight forwarding, and supply chain management services to the Southampton-based cruise operating company.
Under the deal Meachers will support Carnival UK’s logistics needs, particularly through the Port of Southampton.
Meachers Global Logistics has its headquarters in Southampton, and also operates out of Derby. The company, which provides logistics and freight services, also operates a major warehouse facility near the Port of Southampton.
The haulier said the contract renewal will provide job security and continued growth for the company and the region.
Gary Whittle, Meachers Global Logistics operations director, said: “This new contract is a powerful endorsement of the strength and reliability of our long-standing relationship with Carnival UK.
“It also represents a major vote of confidence in the Central South region, where we are proud to support local employment and infrastructure through our logistics operations.”
This latest deal closely follows the extension of Meachers’ long-standing partnership with Ferryspeed through a new three-year contract to deliver pallet distribution services to the Channel Islands.
