MC Rental recently visited Leigh Academy Berstead near Maidstone with one of its rental trucks to help primary school children understand how logistics supports everyday life.
The company, which has its headquarters in Maidstone, said the initiative forms part of its growing commitment to community outreach and road safety education.
During the visit, pupils were given the opportunity to explore one of MC Rental’s modern rental trucks up close.
Guided by members of the MC Rental team, children climbed into the vehicle’s cab, tried out key controls, and learned how large trucks operate.
The session also offered simple explanations of how essential goods - such as food, clothing, books, and toys are transported across the UK.

A key component of the activity focused on road safety awareness around heavy goods vehicles.
Children learned about blind spots, stopping distances, and best practices for staying safe when walking or cycling near large vehicles.
Each child received a certificate, sticker and most importantly a cookie from MC Rental to mark their participation.
Gina Ritrovato, director of business development, said: “We are passionate about supporting the communities we work in.
“Introducing young people to logistics in a hands-on, memorable way not only sparks curiosity, but also reinforces vital safety messages that will benefit them throughout their lives.”
MC Rental said it plans to continue expanding its educational outreach programme and is open to future collaborations with local schools across the region.
