White glove logistics specialist AmWorld Group has expanded its UK transport and fulfilment capability with the acquisition of Berkshire-based carrier Crossflight.
AmWorld Group, which has its headquarters in Colnbrook, Berkshire, near Heathrow, operates across freight forwarding, transport and specialist delivery services, with a focus on high-value and sensitive shipments, including white-glove and time-critical logistics solutions.
Crossflight, which is also based in Colnbrook, was launched over 30 years ago. It specialises in mailing, fulfilment and time-critical distribution, complementing AmWorld’s existing activities in international freight forwarding, white-glove delivery and warehousing.
Announcing the deal, AmWorld said the move is designed to broaden service capability across transport, mailing and fulfilment, while maintaining what the business describes as a “customer-focused operating model”.
The enlarged group will continue to operate with direct account management and named customer contacts, with no change to how accounts are handled.
AmWorld chief executive Ian Bolton said the deal was based on operational alignment rather than scale alone.
“We were very clear that growth only makes sense if it improves consistency and control for customers,” he said.
“Crossflight shares our approach to accountability, hands-on management and reliable execution.”
The group said the acquisition would give customers access to a broader UK and international network, alongside greater flexibility and resilience in service delivery.
Bolton added: “This gives customers more options, more resilience and more reach, without losing the personal service they expect.”
Integration of the two businesses is now underway, with both teams working to ensure continuity of service.
