A family-run haulage firm in Manchester, that runs its entire fleet on renewable fuel, is set to expand after joining Pallet-Track.
Worsley-based JSP Hauliers is investing over £200,000 in new vehicles and creating up to five new jobs, as a result of the partnership.
The firm estimates it will be moving around 100 pallets per day by servicing the WN postcode area, on behalf of the network.
The haulier’s existing fleet of 22 vehicles will be boosted by an additional two 18 tonne trucks, two double decker trailers and one curtain sided Luton van.
JSP Hauliers’ entire fleet is fuelled by hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO).
Steven Singh, JSP Hauliers managing director, said: “Joining a pallet network is part of our growth strategy. We have built our local customer base and expanded successfully as a business, but we felt that pallet distribution, via a network, was the missing link.
“For JSP Hauliers, one of the biggest benefits of joining Pallet-Track is the close proximity of the Northern Hub, which is just down the road from us in Ashton-in-Makerfield.
“Delivering our freight there instead of the Midlands, where most pallet networks are based, will improve efficiency for us and save a lot of time and money.
“In terms of technology, we’ve always been able to offer our customers tracking on their freight, but the traffic management system and IT investments from Pallet-Track will bring additional benefits to our business and our customers.”
Stuart Godman, CEO at Pallet-Track, said: “The strength of our network relies on the quality of our shareholder members and having JSP Hauliers on board is a real win for Pallet-Track.
“The team are highly focused and committed to exceptional customer service, which has enabled them to build a successful company that is recognised and well-respected locally.
“JSP Hauliers’ addition to Pallet-Track will enable us to improve efficiencies in the Northwest and prepare us for future growth in the region.
“I am extremely impressed with the approach to decarbonisation as this is close to our heart at Pallet-Track.”
JSP Hauliers was founded in 2010 by Jarnial Singh, supported by sons Steven and Daniel Singh, and currently employs 35 staff.
Under the JSP Group, the company has expanded and diversified to include vehicle maintenance, servicing, repairs, as well as skip hire.
The company has also used its resources to support the aid drive for Ukraine, helping to deliver donations to Poland for those impacted by the war.
