International Cargo Logistics (ICL) has opened a new branch in Felixstowe, representing the fifth UK office for the global freight solutions provider.
The company said Joe Walsh would head up the office and brought with him 22 years’ industry experience with the last four years spent in a similar role overseeing ocean, air, road and rail transport operations.
ICL said Felixstowe was a natural choice of location given the port’s ranking as the country’s largest container terminal.
CEO Yoav Izhari said: “Launching ICL Felixstowe is a logical move for the business, enabling us to capitalise on the growth opportunities associated with a physical presence in the town operating such a substantial percentage of the country’s ocean-bound freight.
“We are confident that with Joe’s impressive credentials in the logistics sector, together with his inherent knowledge of the excellent capabilities of the Port of Felixstowe, we can expect to witness a solid growth in sales in line with the achievements of the Manchester and Bristol offices.”
