Leicester-based Hawks Haulage has joined pallet network Palletways UK, as part of plans to expand the company’s services and drive growth
The family-run business was founded in 2019 by Pardeep Virk with a single vehicle and has since grown to operate a fleet of 35 trucks and employ around 40 staff.
Joining the Palletways network will enable Hawks Haulage to offer nationwide and international palletised freight distribution through the group’s hub-and-spoke model, alongside its existing transport operations.
The move comes as the company pursues wider expansion plans, including fleet growth, technology investment and the development of a new warehouse facility with capacity for up to 2,500 pallets.
According to Hawks Haulage, the warehouse investment is intended to increase storage capacity and support the development of broader logistics services.
Matt Prewett, principal and network operations manager at Hawks Haulage, said: “We are delighted to be joining the Palletways UK network at such an exciting time for the business.
“This partnership allows us to strengthen our service offering while continuing to deliver the family-led approach that has been central to our growth.”
In addition to its transport activities, Hawks Haulage operates an in-house maintenance workshop that services its own fleet and provides maintenance support for other operators in the region.
Warwick Trimble, Palletways UK network director, welcomed Hawks Haulage to the network, adding: “Their strong growth, operational expertise, and clear commitment to service excellence make them a valuable addition to our membership,” he added..
Hawks Haulage becomes one of more than 130 independent transport companies operating within the Palletways UK network.
The wider Palletways Group is made up of more than 450 depots and 20 hub operations across Europe, providing palletised freight distribution services in 24 countries.
