Darcica Logistics has won a brace of awards from Palletways for its sustainability performance and PR and marketing efforts.
The family-run logistics provider was honoured with the awards at the annual Palletways UK conference at the Carden Park Hotel in Cheshire.
The sustainability champion award was presented by Palletways UK MD Rob Gittins: “Darcica Logistics has shown exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to environmental responsibility for the second consecutive year,” he said.
“The company’s initiatives drive meaningful change and inspire a more sustainable future for the logistics industry.
“Congratulations on a well-deserved win – we look forward to seeing how Darcica continues to lead the way to a greener tomorrow.”
The company is committed to reducing carbon emissions and future-proofing its operations, with 30% of its fleet being electric, including a 42-tonne DAF XF, two 19-tonne electric DAFs, four Maxus EV vans and a fully electric company car fleet.
Anthony Tattersall, owner of Darcica Logistics, said: “Sustainability is at the core of our fleet investments strategy and company values, so it’s an honour to be recognised for the second year in a row as Palletways UK’s sustainability champion.
“With the support of government incentives, the total cost over ownership of EV trucks is currently on a par with diesel and whilst upfront costs remain higher, we’re committed to long-term environmental progress.”
