Fenland construction and muckaway operator Davis-Wright Haulage has collapsed with “minimal assets” left in the business, according to its liquidator.
Incorporated in August 2020, the company grew to occupy four operating centres in Bourne, Stamford, Boston and Grantham and held a licence authorising a total of 12 lorries.
Office of the traffic commissioner records showed that the operator licence was surrendered in July.
Its website said its construction haulage across Peterborough was related to the commercial industry: “This means that we can do two things: shifting building material to your site in loads of up to 20 tonnes with our Hiab vehicles, and also adhere to a strict commercial schedule.”
As well as limestone and aggregate transport, the haulier also offered muckaway services too: “The correct removal and disposal of inert spoil away, hazardous and non-hazardous spoil away, asphalt away, concrete and hardcore away are all services we deliver to our customers,” it said.
The last available set of accounts showed that it employed around 10 staff in 2024.
Moore Kingston Smith & Partners LLP was appointed to the firm at the beginning of the month.
Chris Purkiss, partner at Moore Kingston, said: “I was appointed liquidator of Davis-Wright Haulage Limited following a creditors’ meeting on 2 September 2026.
“Based on the information available at this early stage, the company appears to have had minimal assets at the date of liquidation.
“My focus now is on completing the necessary investigations, confirming the company’s asset position and determining whether there’s likely to be any return to creditors. Any creditors with relevant information are encouraged to contact me directly.”
