DHL Supply Chain has secured a contract to manage ProCook’s retail and e-commerce logistics operations as the kitchenware retailer looks to support further growth.

The deal marks the first time in ProCook’s 30-year history that it has outsourced its logistics to a major third-party provider.

Under the agreement, DHL has taken over the operation of ProCook’s 167,000sq ft distribution centre in Gloucester, which supplies the retailer’s stores and fulfils online orders. The transition has been completed without disruption to customers or retail operations.

The companies said the partnership is designed to improve operational efficiency and provide greater capacity and flexibility as ProCook expands its UK business.

A joint improvement programme is now under way, with DHL planning to introduce its warehouse management system at the Gloucester site during the first half of 2027 as part of a wider technology upgrade.

Lee Tappenden, ProCook chief executive, said DHL’s experience in retail and e-commerce logistics would help the business develop a more efficient and scalable supply chain.

“This partnership is an important milestone for ProCook. As we continue to grow, we wanted a logistics partner with the expertise, scale and capability to support our ambitions,” he added.

Spencer Conday, DHL Supply Chain UK and Ireland managing director of retail and e-commerce, said the successful transition reflected close collaboration between the two businesses and would provide a platform for future growth.

He added: “We are particularly pleased to welcome ProCook’s colleagues into DHL and look forward to supporting their development as part of our business.

“We look forward to helping ProCook deliver greater efficiency, flexibility and long-term growth.”
