Transport and logistics firm Currie Solutions has strengthened its long-running relationship with Asset Alliance Group after taking delivery of 13 Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks.

The Dumfries-based company provides freight forwarding, transport distribution and pallet delivery services across the UK and Europe, as well as contract transport services, logistics management solutions and more than 250,000sq ft of warehousing across its depots.

Currie Solutions has taken on the 13 new Actros on three-year contract hire agreements. This is the company’s latest order from Asset Alliance, which last year supplied the haulier with 18 new DAF XF 530 Super Space Cab 6x2 tractor units and three MAN rigids.

The new arrivals join a fleet of 130 vehicles and 450 trailers at the company, which has depots located in the UK, France, The Netherlands and with partners in Germany and Italy.

The Mercedes-Benz Actros tractor units will operate out of the firm’s Warrington site and are being deployed for trunking duties and distance travel throughout the UK.

Allan Jamieson, Currie Solutions’ operations director, said: ”As our company grows, we can count on the support of Asset Alliance Group. We trust senior business development manager Dougie Bennett and his team to supply the best vehicles to meet our needs and they have never let us down.

“We lean heavily on Dougie’s expertise and have a lot of respect for him. We always get quick answers about vehicle availability and accurate lead dates. He offers brilliant advice and has helped us to make the right decisions for our business.”

Bennett added: ”We are a people business at heart, and I believe we do a great job in putting our customers first so that they come back to us again and again. We’ve built up a great rapport with the team at Currie Solutions and look forward to being a trusted partner in the company’s growth plans.”
