Herefordshire-based Burgoynes has joined independent parcel delivery network The APC, marking a significant milestone for the business, as it introduces overnight parcel delivery to its services, strengthening its logistics offering for SMEs across Herefordshire, Powys and Gloucestershire.
The employee-owned business, which was first established in 1909, provides haulage services, warehousing and industrial units.
Based in Lyonshall, North Herefordshire, Burgoynes will cover the HR, GL18 and GL19 postcodes.
The company will utilise its existing 20,000 sq. ft warehouse to support its parcel service operations, offering comprehensive delivery solutions with fast response times and efficient last-mile delivery for its local SME customers.
Already a key local employer with 23 employees, Burgoynes has expanded its team to support this growth.
As part of this expansion, the delivery firm has appointed Charlie Mason as parcels manager to oversee the firm’s parcel operations.
In this role, Mason will lead the new parcel division and manage a newly recruited team of five dedicated to operations and customer service for the parcels division.
Announcing the arrival of Burgoynes, The APC said the company’s decision to join the network reflects the increasing demand for reliable next-day parcel services in the region as well as Burgoynes commitment to supporting local businesses with flexible and responsive logistics solutions.
It added that by leveraging The APC’s nationwide reach, Burgoynes is now well-positioned to help local businesses connect with new customers across the country.
Debbie Spencer, Burgoynes depot principal, commented: “Burgoynes has been a trusted name in Herefordshire for over a century, and we are incredibly proud to be expanding our services with The APC.
“We’ve always prioritised strong relationships with our customers, and the introduction of our parcel division means we can now offer them a truly integrated logistics solution.
“The APC’s commitment to exceptional service and supporting SMEs around the country aligns perfectly with our values, and we’re excited to see how this partnership will help us support even more local businesses.”
Jonathan Smith, The APC chief executive, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Burgoynes to The APC. The business’ long-standing reputation, strong local presence and commitment to service excellence and SME support make them an invaluable addition to our network.
“Burgoynes’ expansion into next-day delivery demonstrates its ongoing commitment to being an all-encompassing solution for customers, and the team’s dedication to quality and customer service aligns perfectly with The APC’s values.
“We look forward to working together to enhance delivery services for local SME businesses across the region.”
