A Norfolk haulage firm specialising in the transport of animal feed and straw has entered liquidation after owing HM Revenue and Customs more than £190,000.

Norfolk Straw Products, which had been trading since 2007, is now being voluntarily wound up after HMRC served a petition on it in October.

The company surrendered its international licence authorising 12 HGVs and 15 trailers to the traffic commissioner last week.

The haulier traded out of an operating centre in Etling Green just outside Dereham.

Documents filed by liquidator Marshall Peters showed that Norfolk Straw Products is estimated to owe creditors more than £300,000, with around £193,000 owed in VAT and PAYE.
