Norbert Dentressangle has opened a national hub for its Specialist Services two-man delivery arm in Brownhills, near Walsall.

The site features 20,000ft² of high bay storage space, a 23,000ft² cross-docking area with 22 loading bays and a 100,000ft² office area.

The site will help ND meet current storage and distribution requirements, as well as give it room for expansion. It follows the opening of a regional Specialist Services DC in Taunton, Somerset last year.

Further development at the site is expected over the next 12 months as ND predicts increased business and more jobs for HGV drivers and warehouse staff.

Dave Finnie, director of Specialist Services and Red Inside at Norbert Dentressangle Transport and Distribution UK, said: “Brownhills will become the centre of excellence for Specialist Services and be a showpiece site where existing and future clients will be able to view our operational capability at first hand.

“Norbert Dentressangle has made a significant investment in refurbishing the site to ensure it meets our immediate and future needs.”
