Mitchell’s of Mansfield became the third new member of The Hazchem Network to join in April, as the group said it had seen an increase in enquiries.

The haulier has operated in pallet networks for 25 years and has joined the network for deliveries in the NG area.

It operates out of a depot near Sutton-in-Ashfield and three-quarters of its 40-strong fleet are ADR.

Mitchell’s MD Richard Montgomery said: “Joining The Hazchem Network has completed the picture for our customers.

“Not only can we offer a full ADR service but we can now also offer a parcel service, which we have never been able to do before.”

Rob Symes, The Hazchem Network MD, told motortransport.co.uk that although its recently signed-up members had been planned in, the network had experienced “a definite increase in enquiries from companies wanting to join as new members".

He said: “I think people are looking to diversify in the current climate and see Hazchem as a stable partner.”
